Athan Pro – Prayer Times & Azan

What is Athan Pro?

Athan Pro is a free Android application designed to support Muslims in observing their daily prayers and engaging with the Qur'an. Developed by Quanticapps FZ LLE, the app combines prayer‑time calculations, a Qibla direction tool, and basic Qur'an reading features in a single, easy‑to‑use interface.

Main Features

• Prayer‑time schedule – Calculates the five daily prayer times based on the user’s location.
• Qibla compass – Shows the direction toward the Kaaba using the device’s built‑in sensors.
• Qur'an access – Provides the Arabic text of the Holy Qur'an with optional translations.
• Azan alerts – Notifies users before each prayer, allowing time to prepare.

How It Works

When the app is launched, it requests permission to access the device’s location. Using this data, Athan Pro selects a calculation method appropriate for the region and generates the prayer times for the current day. The Qibla compass uses the same location information together with the device’s magnetometer to point toward Mecca.

Practical Uses

1. Set up daily Azan notifications to ensure you never miss a prayer, even when you are traveling.
2. Use the Qibla finder in unfamiliar places such as airports, hotels or outdoor settings.
3. Read or listen to Qur'an verses offline, which is helpful in areas with limited internet connectivity.

Installation Information

The app is available for free on the Google Play Store. Installation follows the standard Android process: tap “Install,” grant location permission when prompted, and the app will configure itself automatically.

Things to Know Before Installing

• Location access is required for accurate prayer times and Qibla direction.
• The app does not require an internet connection after the initial download for basic functionality.
• All core features are provided without a paid upgrade; any optional in‑app purchases are not required for daily use.

Who May Find It Useful?

Athan Pro is suitable for anyone who wants a straightforward tool for prayer timing and Qibla orientation. It is especially helpful for travelers, students, and professionals who need quick access to reliable Islamic information on the go.
